CASD School Board

School boards should be nonpartisan.  Ideally, they should reflect the diversity of our community so that it is clear that all have a voice.   A school board’s job is to work with, and for their community with the primary goal of improving our district’s schools. They should be maintaining a strong organizational structure for the district.  One that empowers administrators to manage schools, the teachers to effectively teach and the students to be supported in a thriving learning environment.

Because school districts are so complex it’s important for a district to have a well-functioning board that when together, they all bring a variety of skills to the table to help manage and oversee the district’s success.  From overseeing the superintendent, to managing a budget of (often) millions of dollars.  Making sure the needs of our children are being met, to also then responding to the countless demands of the community, parents & guardians.  Ultimately, the decisions our school board makes has and will impact you and your children for years to come.
