Who We Are
Coatesville Community & Area Parents (CCAP) is a community-led advocacy group of parents, teachers, and taxpayers in the Coatesville community with a desire to become more informed and involved members of our community, while also advocating for every student in CASD to have a great public education.
We believe in
empowering individuals, teachers, families, and administrators to speak up, get
involved, and take action within our community.
Whether it’s facilitating dialogue between teachers and board members
or advocating for parents to get the help their child needs, we work with
everyone to have his or her voices heard.
We believe the
foundation of our district depends on the leadership it holds. Our community
needs people in leadership who understand and have vision for our community. Those in leadership in our district should always strive to be authentic, transparent, and open to hearing and working
with the community. Our leaders have responsibility to not only uphold our
district's mission statement, but to also create a safe work and learning
environment for our teachers, staff, and students.
Our Mission
We believe that
if community members are informed about what’s going on in our district and
encourage others to unite our voices – we truly believe that we can create real
and permanent change. By working together, we can guarantee that every student
will have the opportunity to learn and thrive in this district.
To ensure that
our district is creating an “innovative educational experience and that all
students become responsible, contributing global citizens,” it’s our job as
taxpayers to keep those in leadership in our community accountable for their
choices. Accountability is the glue that ties
commitment to results, and this group is trying to make positive strides in that
direction.

a consistent and trusted place where the community can access accurate information about what’s happening within our school system. You can

or even watch the meetings LIVE! We
strive to provide you accurate, up-to-date information about issues, the budget,
and policy changes that affect our students. We supply the facts; now we just
