CASD School Board Elections 2021

“Knowledge is power.” CCAP wants to equip you, the Coatesville community, with information about the candidates for school board for each region. We want to provide them an opportunity to share what they believe they can bring to the Coatesville Area School Board.  Our mission in doing this series is to empower the Coatesville community to make the most informed decision at the ballot box on November 2nd.

“Information is liberating.” At our core CCAP believes that if the community can be informed with accurate information & data about the occurrences in the district, we will be able to liberate the community to take action by moving one step towards making positive changes in our district.

"Education is the premise of progress.” We cannot move forward or stand united as a community without educating ourselves with facts.  To improve this district we must be open-minded, work together, and be willing to learn from others and our own mistakes.  Educating ourselves through facts on those who will be running our district is the premise of Coatesville’s progress.

This year, Coatesville has FIVE seats up for reelection.  

Two seats in Region I

On October 25th, we will be introducing you to each of the candidates so you can learn about who is running in your region. You will also hear in candidates' own words what their platform and intentions are for running. To give every candidate an opportunity to share, we contacted each in advance with the same list of questions. We believe you will value knowing the candidates’ visions and hopes for Coatesville Area School District.

Those of you who are in Region One will see James Bookman's name on the ballot. However, he was unable to remove himself from the race in time. If he is re-elected, he will not accept the position. If you are interested in running for school board, please let us know. We’d be happy to assist in a write-in campaign for you! Remember, this is for anyone living in the City of Coatesville or Valley Township.
